We’re in the middle of awards season.

On the 7th of February, we were at the prestigious ‘West London Business Awards’ at Twickenham Stadium and on the 13th of February, we were at The Biltmore Mayfair for the ‘UK Wedding Awards’.

Two great nights with the crème da le crème of West London and UK-wide wedding based companies.

In this article, I want to share our experiences of both award nights and what the outcome of each was.

West London Business Awards

This was the first year that we were nominated as part of these highly prestigious awards.

It was an honour to be nominated in the ‘Logistics Business of the Year’ category.

The reason that we were nominated is because of the following statement:

“RedRoutemaster.com have come into the industry and revolutionised the level of expectation by implementing technology to bring the industry up to speed with modern consumer demands.

They are the first vintage bus company to build live tracking into each bus to allow head office to monitor the progress of each journey as well as allowing the customer to track their bus on the day of their hire.

They are the first vintage bus company to build hidden state-of-the-art sound systems into each of their buses allowing passengers to play their own music, make speeches and for tour operators

They are the first vintage bus company to scale to the hundreds of bookings per year through a sophisticated customer management system that has been adapted from the international coach’s industry to work in this industry”

We took our core management team to the ceremony with 11 of us travelling to Twickenham on one of our head-turning vintage routemaster buses, which caught the attention of everybody who was patiently waiting to enter the event in the freezing cold.

The event was incredible.

Unfortunately, we didn’t win the award this year but we were rewarded with a runner-up certificate.

We’re thankful to the organisers and everybody that made the event so special.

UK Wedding Awards

Six days later, we were at the ‘UK Wedding Awards’ at the ‘The Biltmore Mayfair.’

Although not to the scale of the ‘West London Business Awards’ – this is a key award in the wedding industry and we were delighted to be nominated in the ‘Best Transport’ category (having previously won this award in 2018 and 2019).

The event ceremony was beautiful. Very wedding focused, great music and lots of great people.

Unfortunately, we only made the runner-up this year with the winner of the category collecting more public votes than us.

A huge congratulations to them!

We’ll be back for our crown next year.

We always feel honoured to be nominated for any award category and it highlights the amazing work that our team are doing.

Our focus throughout 2020 is to ensure we deliver more and more amazing experiences while continuing to stay ahead of the industry through revolutionary developments on our buses and through our booking process.
