Are you watching the Wimbledon Finals this weekend?

It’s the oldest tennis tournament in the world. Since 1877 it has been held at the traditional All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, in Wimbledon.

It’s one of the four Grand Slam tournaments the others being the Australian Open the French Open and the US Open.

Wimbledon is unique, in that it is the only major, still played on grass.

You may be lucky enough to have tickets for the final at Centre Court or are travelling to Wimbledon to spend the day on Henman Hill.

You may be spectating on one of the outer courts, or are simply watching or listening to the event at a friend’s home.

Why not treat yourself to strawberries and cream, an afternoon tea with traditional scones, clotted cream and jam. Perhaps a small glass of fizz or Pimms would go down well.

However, you are spending your time this Wimbledon weekend, have you thought about how you should get to your event?

Could there be anything more iconic than arriving on a Routemaster bus?

Imagine travelling to Wimbledon or a friend’s home on one; how typically English.

You could have an impromptu party. How about travelling to the Local Park and have your own mini Wimbledon picnic.

Think of the fun the kids, parents and grandparents would have running around batting a ball, eating and drinking and generally enjoying themselves.

The Routemasters make everyone smile. Why not hire one today for a thoroughly English Wimbledon weekend. And make it a day for everyone to remember.
