RedRoutemaster, vintage Routemaster Bus Hire Company, brings its fleet of restored heritage buses out on Service C to showcase London’s amazing Christmas Lights. From Monday, 7th December until early January, take your family, friends or work colleagues on one of our scheduled tours to see the sights of Central London and get into the spirit of Christmas.

The tour called “Service C” takes its name from the London Transport bus services provided for the Festival of Britain in 1951 by recapturing that spirit of the event and use of period branding.

Running up to six services daily starting from London Paddington, Praed Street, and tickets can be booked on www.servicec.co.uk. The journey will last around an hour, and include an audio commentary and a traditional bus conductor with ticket machine. The service also connects with Hyde Park Winter Wonderland providing a link between with London Paddington and the event.

The route which takes us across the world famous Oxford Street at multiple points, down Regent Street into Piccadilly Circus, and onwards to Trafalgar Square, to see the historically important Christmas tree which is a gift from Norway due to Britain support in WW2, before returning to Paddington via Hyde Park Corner and Winter Wonderland.

Managing Director Adam Shailes said “We can’t wait for Service C to start, people are always asking us how they can travel and experience a ride on one of our heritage Routemaster’s with the open-platform and conductor, with Service C’s great value pricing, now they can and in my eyes at one of the best times to see London when it’s all lit up.”

A decade after the retirement of the iconic buses, RedRoutemaster’s are continuing to thrive in a small corner of West London. Adam Shailes and Darren Kidd both shared a passion for London’s favourite red vehicles, so the pair decided to buy one and fix it up together four years ago. Today, the pair run a thriving fleet of six vintage buses, which they hire out for weddings, corporate parties and other events across the country.

RedRoutemaster are a locally owned, family run company who hire out iconic Routemaster buses for special occasions such as weddings and birthdays, as well as tours and trips for large groups of people. With a number of fully licensed vehicles – all built in West London by official manufacturer during the late 1950s and 1960s – available for hire, they have established themselves as market leaders in the field.
